Origin and life

The story of Lune's birth

She's from the port city of Limsa Lominsa, where she was born to a fishing family. Her father was a hyur, a fisherman, and his name was Beryl. Her mother named Lilyea, a miqo'te, worked alternately as a cook for fishermen and sailors or helped them knit nets. Although they both spent a lot of time working on the sea, they were quite poor. However, they were very kind and cordial people. Unusually taught and wise for fishermen. On the ships, they often studied old books and scrolls that Lilyea's father had collected during his many mysterious expeditions from his youth. Although they did not have a celebrated profession, they were interested in many fields. They sought to develop themselves, both their own souls and other social disciplines and professions. They were both spiritual people. They both inherited these qualities from their parents and, to a greater extent, their daughter inherited them too. Who knows, maybe they wouldn't stay fishermen long. With the way things were, sooner or later, for their curiosity and literacy, they would certainly find employment in more interesting fields. If it weren't for that night…They were both still very young when Lilyea got pregnant. Lune was born one bitter winter. That night there was one of the worst storms which Limsa Lominsa remembers. Gusts of wind beat the dock where they lived when it became clear that the child was on its way. Beryl's fifteen years of experience on the sea told him that there was no ordinary storm in Limsa. It was clear to him that they had to move elsewhere as soon as possible. The house was exposed in the city rocks, but it was located on the lowest floors of the Limsa with windows facing the sea, and the biggest waves were slowly reaching their level. There was a risk of flooding.

Fortunately, Lilyea's father (Lune's grandfather) ran as if on call. His name was Landroval. Together with Beryl they moved the pregnant Lilyea to Landroval's house, which was located in the back of the city. When they got there, Beryl realized that in the rush, they left all the toys and supplies they were preparing for little Lune in their hurry. Nor they did secure their deeds against the water. He could not allow the destruction or loss of those things. They would no longer have money for other things for the child, and some of the documents were of incalculable value to the family. So he put Lilyea to the bed, made sure she didn't miss anything, and kissed her. When she begged him, "Beryl, don't go...", he just smiled at her, gazed into her baby blue eyes and said, "I'll be right back...". Then he ran out into the street and left her in the house with her father Landroval.Although, back to their lodge it was only about 200 yalms, Beryl soon found out that returning was perhaps not a good idea. The storm worsened unprecedentedly in those few moments. The strength of the wind was such intense that he had to make a double effort to run, and some of the waves were already licking the upper night streets of Limsa, now yawning with emptiness. In addition, it was a bitter cold and he could barely see through the hail mixed with heavy rain. Nevertheless, he soon arrived at their house. He opened the door with difficulty, and a lot of water immediately spilled over. Most of the papers lay around the room, so he picked them up and put them in a chest. He stuffed toys, blankets, and a baby wrap into a bag. He reached into his drawer - now a half-flooded table and fished out a pendant with a white stone - a gift he made for his beloved wife for give birth to their first child. Then he slung the bag of these things over his shoulder and left.On the way back he thought only of breaking through the storm back to his family as quickly as possible. He was almost halfway down, right under the stairs leading to the upper floors of the tunnel, wondering what name they would give to their child and whether it would be a boy or a girl, when several things happened in a quick succession. The storm thundered with a deafening roar, and the strongest wind so far had risen. It almost lifted Beryl off the ground. He quickly turned toward the sea and saw a huge dark wall of water that hid everything else. The wave rolled at great speed directly onto the city and was already 100 yalms from Beryl. He stiffly watched the phenomenon, knowing he had no chance of hiding anywhere. As in a slow motion, he saw that the sky parted for a moment and a beautiful full moon shone brightly among the black clouds. It litted the dark water that rolled over to Beryl with silver light. Frowning in amazement, Beryl saw for a moment a mirror of water glistening like diamonds, and he felt that he seemed to hear a faint, long, screaming sigh. At that moment, it filled him with sadness but also joy, and it seemed wonderfully familiar and beautiful to him. He saw his own reflection in the wall of water for a split second, and then the wave mercilessly strucked him. He was thrown on the stairs under him with full force, his head hitting them hard. The whole scene passed, the moon went behind the clouds, and Beryl never rose again. At that moment, 100 yalms away inside her father's house, Lilyea gave birth to her daughter. Exhausted and in pain, she saw a beautiful moon through the window. Not knowing why, she was overwhelmed by a warm feeling of joy and hope that everything was as it should be. She closed her eyes for a while, then smiled, and with the last look at her daughter, who Landroval handed her from his armfuls, she happily exhaled, "Lune ...".

Lune's life so far (briefly)

Lune spent her childhood in the port city of Limsa Lominsa with her grandfather Landroval, who raised her. That's why you can often hear her to use the "Ahoy" navy salute. Her grandfather taught her to fish, cook fish delicacies, and told her about their parents. He also provided her with a fairly decent education and preparation for life, as he is very well-educated and passed through many adventures. However, from the age of 12, Lune went on her own small expeditions around Eorzea, and when she was 17, she decided to leave permanently. After some time she arrived to Gridania, where she rented a room, and from there she now embarks on numerous adventures for salvation of Eorzea. She has always been fascinated by nature magic and because she considers helping others and the earth to be her main mission, she entered teaching as a magician and soon joined the white magicians. Due to her experience she is relatively agile. She learns very fast. She loves music and dance, so she also joined the Bard and Dance Guild. The path of paladins is also very close to her.

Lune as a dancer

When time allows, she is also interested in other professions and activities and has already made several friends on her journey. For example, you can come across her practicing on countless Bard instruments with her white mage guild companion - Aeonka - in Limsa or Gridania, or playing rock melodies under the fiery effects of her faithful friend and headlight - Lalafell Osud. Sometimes she just wanders around. She enjoys watching the people in town and their behavior. Through this way she came across her dear friend, the seductive dancer Aiwee. She also very rely on her chocobo companion Athelstan, who is a faithful friend to her on the road. Lune regularly participates in various festivals across the country, but due to her introverted nature, she rarely makes new friendships. But they are all the stronger then.
She's also still visiting her grandfather Landroval in Limsa. You can therefore meet her fishing from the high city walls near the fishing guild or just standing during sunset, looking out on the sea, remembering her parents and childhood. Due to hers background, Lune has a very warm relationship with the water since she was a child. However, with age, she also developed a great love for trees, wildlife and the nature.

Fishing in Limsa

One of her bad habits is that she often checks her mobile device or does something on it. Her big hobby is the Gold Saucer, where she goes as soon as she wants to unwind for a while from the worries of everyday life. She liked the Triple Triad game the most, where she is considered a respected opponent

A stone from the pendant she has from her parents was used after processing as a Soul Crystal for her entry into the white mage guild. Grandfather Landroval gave it to her at an early age, and she has been carrying it with her ever since. Landroval found it on the day of her birth in the clasped hands of her dead father Beryl when he found him under the stairs in Limsa. Lune used to call the pendant after their family name - Soul. The same name and connection with Soul Crystals (Soul - Soul Crystal) is purely coincidental. However, it is no coincidence that the stone is white, that Lune has decided to become a white sorceress, and that the stone seems to radiate the spirit of their parents whenever she squeezes it in her hand. She knows they're still with her, but she feels even closer to them this way.

Personality and character (briefly)

Lune is very wise at her young age. This is most likely due to the losses that have affected her life, the difficult life and the upbringing of her grandfather. At first, she may seem reserved and vigilant, but she can be a sincere friend and never leave anyone in the lurch. She has an innate feeling to distinguish good from evil and to estimate man. So the lie and the pretense has no chance to success on her. It is immediately clear to her where the wind is blowing ... She is a sensitive soul and can be hurt by a complete trifle (although she often does not show it), but at the same time she can bear a lot. She is spiritually based after her parents and grandparents and has also inherited a desire to develop in more areas of life. She would like to know everything and be able to do everything, she enjoys many things… That's why Lune didn't know what she wanted to do the most for a long time and in fact she still doesn't know it, even though she chose a path. It can sometimes seem scattered and erratic, but the opposite is true. Many people do not understand her desire for knowledge. She can be determined and leading at key moments. Eyewitnesses testified that in tense situations they saw a white aura resembling the moonlight radiating around Lune. This aura and action can put her companions into a trance, where each of them is elevated in spirit and guided without the need of words. However, due to her age, Lune can also be relatively naive and stubborn. She's an introvert and she doesn't say much. She follows the motto "to speak is silver, to keep silent is gold". Before she says anything, she think it over. Lune never acts hastily and emotionally. She hates "beating empty straw" and leading wild speeches that have no deeper meaning. If there is nothing to say, she can keep quiet, listen and think for hours. In addition, Lune knows very well that you can communicate without words. She often just sits and thinks about life, the earth and spiritual things. Also for this reason, she is much more advanced in these deeper areas than her peers. In society, however, she is cheerful, funny, cordial and can be the heart of the party. For the other, she would almost give up (if he's worth it), she would like to listen to anyone and advise him. She likes flowering cherries and even better sits under them in the spring at sunset listening to running water.
